Liverpool are reportedly interested in Norwich City midfielder Todd Cantwell, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Cantwell, 21, has had a solid season for Norwich City thus far. His form has got many people in the football world talking.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was able to watch Cantwell last weekend, as the Reds defeated Norwich City 1-0 at Carrow Road in the Premier League.

With Norwich City likely to get relegated come the end of the season, Cantwell could potentially be looking for a move away from Carrow Road.

Ornstein has reported that Liverpool have “intensified their interest” and could be considered “front-runners” for the signature of the Englishman.

Liverpool stepped up their interest in Cantwell when the January transfer window closed. The report also states that Norwich City would demand £30 million for the midfielder.

This potential transfer has certainly come out of nowhere. There is no denying that Cantwell has talent, which is why Liverpool are potentially interested in him.

With Liverpool being so strong at the minute, especially in midfield, it might be difficult to convince Cantwell to make the move to Anfield. At this stage of his career, he would want to be playing as much football as possible.
