Liverpool have been linked with a move for Porto’s Moussa Marega this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
Reports from France claim that both Liverpool and West Ham are “hot” for Marega, whose versatility up front makes him difficult for defenders to handle.
The London side have been linked with Marega for some time, but reports now suggest that the Reds are in for him too as a replacement for Daniel Sturridge.
The 28-year-old is also being monitored by Marseille, though Mercato claim that Liverpool and West Ham are “better equipped” to sign him this summer than the Ligue 1 side, with a €30million price tag proving a stumbling block for the French team.
Marega scored 21 goals in 47 appearances last season, with six of those coming in the Champions League.
He would certainly fit in well among Jurgen Klopp’s attackers, though at 28, he may be outside of FSG’s target criteria.
