Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas is aiming to return to training next week, according to David Lynch from This Is Anfield.

Tsmikas picked up a thigh injury when he made his Liverpool debut against Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup last month.

Tsimikas has not been seen since. However, according to Lynch, Tsimikas is “hopeful” that he will be able to return to training next week.

This is great news, as it will give Reds boss Jurgen Klopp more opportunity to rest Liverpool’s senior left-back Andy Robertson.

Tsimikas showed on his Liverpool debut against Lincoln City that he is a capable left-back. As you can see in the footage below, which has been provided by Liverpool Edits, Tsimikas is a very composed left-back.

Tsimikas likes to get on the ball and make things happen. He also has a very good cross on him.

Because of what we saw on Tsimikas’ Liverpool debut, we are looking forward to seeing the left-back in action again.
