Real Madrid are preparing a bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, according to Marca, via the Express.

The Reds have been linked with a move for Mbappe in various reports over recent months, but it does appear that the La Liga outfit are preparing to launch a big-money bid for the Frenchman.

With that being the case, it does appear that Mbappe will be a Real Madrid player as of next season.

Liverpool are certainly an attractive option for the best players these days. In the past eight months, the club have won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Liverpool are also 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League table. But, despite the fact that Real Madrid have not been as successful as of late, the best players in the world still want to play for them.

I’m not sure the Reds were ever really a contender to sign the Frenchman. As he is only 21 years old and one of the best talents in world football, he would have cost a fortune, and I doubt the Reds would have been able to afford him.
