Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz could sign a new deal with his current club, according to Kicker, via Inside Futbol.

Havertz, 20, has been linked with a move to Liverpool in various reports. However, to gain the services of the creative midfielder, Liverpool would need to spend around £100 million.

Despite all the noise around Havertz leaving Bayer Leverkusen, there is talk that he could sign a new deal with the Bundesliga club, according to Kicker, via Inside Futbol.

It is difficult to say whether Liverpool are genuinely interested in Havertz, but considering the amount of news outlets that have linked Havertz to Liverpool, it does suggest that there is some interest there.

Considering how strong Liverpool are in midfield, it is difficult seeing the 20-year-old walking into Liverpool’s first XI.

With that being the case, it is highly unlikely that Liverpool would spend £100 million on a player that would not be a guaranteed starter.

If he does sign a new deal with Bayer Leverkusen, then there will be nothing to even consider.
