Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.

Keita, who arrived at Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2018, has had a poor time on Merseyside thus far.

Liverpool supporters have seen Keita play well and poorly. A number of issues have led to Keita not being able to play to the best of his ability consistently since his arrival at Liverpool.

He has been dealt with a number of injury blows, which have halted his progress more than anything.

Keita, who cost the Reds £52.75 million, does bring something different to Liverpool’s midfield when he is playing. He has the ability to dribble with the ball at speed, and he also has end product.

However, the reality is, he has not done it enough during his time at the club.

With that being the case, journalist Manuel Veth has stated on Twitter that the Reds are considering selling Keita at the end of the season. The original report comes from Bild.

If this were to be true, it would be a shame. Keita has talent, but his body has meant he has not been able to showcase that talent on a consistent basis.

He has all the tools to be the difference in Liverpool’s midfield, and hopefully he proves that to everyone eventually, but one does have to wonder if he will be at Anfield long enough to do so.
