Liverpool are interested in signing Lazio midfielder Joaquin Correa this summer, according to Calciomercato.
Despite Liverpool currently possessing a 25-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, they are still looking to add players to their squad going by this latest report.
The report states that the midfielder has a £70 million release clause in his contract, but Liverpool may waive their 30 percent sell-on clause in teammate Luis Alberto’s contract to get Correa for a cheaper fee.
ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Correa has had a decent season for Lazio. This can be backed up by the fact that the midfielder has scored eight goals and registered four assists in all competitions for the club.
Those aforementioned statistics do suggest that Jurgen Klopp would be signing a player that can add goals and assists to Liverpool’s midfield.
The midfielder has made a total of four appearances for Argentina in his career thus far. Correa is also only 25 years old, which means that he has plenty of time left in his career.
The aforementioned statistics and reasons are why Correa would be a decent signing for Liverpool.
