Leeds United are interested in signing Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster on loan next season, according to Football Insider.

Brewster, 20, is currently on loan at Swansea City. The Englishman played the first half of the 2019-20 season at Liverpool before being loaned out to the Swans.

Brewster only managed to make the three appearances for the Reds at the beginning of the season, which is why a loan move to Wales eventuated.

Brewster will return from Swansea City come the end of the season, but it remains unclear as to where the Englishman will play his football next season.

Leeds United, who were interested in Brewster last January, are one club that are reportedly looking to sign the striker on loan for next season.

However, this is dependant on whether Leeds United are promoted to the Premier League.

Brewster has shown that he can play during his loan spell at Swansea City, as he has scored four goals in 11 appearances for the Welsh club. It is very obvious why Brewster did not get the opportunity that he would have liked at Liverpool.

He is competing for a spot against the likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. They are all world-class performers, and Brewster is still learning his trade.

With that being the case, a loan spell was a good move for him in the second half of the season.

Brewster would be better off going out on loan next season, also, as that will allow him to continue building up his confidence.

Leeds United would be a decent loan option for Brewster. The club are currently sitting on top of the Championship, meaning that when the coronavirus clears, there is a possibility that they could be promoted to the Premier League.

Playing weekly in the Premier League would do the Englishman good, as he would be exposed to the level of football that the Reds play in on a weekly basis.

However, Leeds United need to be promoted to the Premier League and Reds boss Jurgen Klopp needs to give the green light on Brewster being loaned out again.
