Ousmane Dembele has been linked, however tenuously, with a move to Anfield this summer.

The France international signed for Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund for over £100million in 2017 but has since gone on to have a relatively-disappointing time at the Nou Camp.

A number of reports had linked the 22-year-old with a move away from the Catalan giants, with Liverpool rumoured to be one of the club interested in securing him.

However, Cadena SER (cited by Calciomercato) report that Barcelona will not allow the attacker to leave the club this summer.

The La Liga side regard Dembele as an important member of the squad and want to see him develop further in the coming seasons.

Barcelona have also reportedly denied that a move for former star Neymar is imminent.
