Kylian Mbappe has added fuel to the fire regarding speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool, according to Metro.
The 20-year-old has become an unlikely Reds “target” in recent days after suggestions arose he could make the switch to Merseyside.
And the PSG superstar did little to dispel those rumours in a recent interview with ESPN, in which he was asked: “We play one game and we bet, who do you pick?”
Mbappe replied: “I play with Liverpool because they win the Champions League.”
He also responded to the question of whether or not he likes Jurgen Klopp by saying, “Yeah he’s good.”
The French champions are high unlikely to even consider approaches for their star striker, but their obious stance hasn’t stopped rumours of a record transfer circulating on social media.
Mbappe also discussed a move to the USA later in his career and mentioned a legendary Reds player in his responses.
“We don’t know what happens in football,” said Mbappe.
“Now in the USA, a lot of great players come after their careers in Europe, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo, great players.
“You don’t know what can happen, maybe when I’m a little older I can think about this.”
