Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will give Harry Wilson the chance to prove himself during Liverpool’s pre-season fixtures this summer, according to the Echo.

The 22-year-old performed superbly for Derby County throughout the season just passed, scoring 15 goals in 40 appearances for Frank Lampard’s side.

And Klopp will reportedly give the Welsh international the opportunity to stake a claim in the senior Liverpool squad this summer as reward for his efforts on loan.

Interest in Wilson is growing by the day, with a host of Premier League sides keen on signing him for £25million.

The winger, however, made it clear back in February that he still sees his future at Anfield.

“The main focus this season is to get promoted with Derby,” he said.

“But Mason’s goal is to play for Chelsea and my goal is to play for Liverpool.

“I have always felt like a Liverpool player. Everything is going along the right path.”

Klopp will observe Wilson in pre-season and make a decision on his future before the transfer window closes.
