Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his team deserved to lose to Chelsea last night.

Liverpool’s poor run of form continued against Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup. The Reds left Stamford Bridge with a 2-0 defeat due to goals scored by Willian and Ross Barkley.

Klopp had no issue accepting that his team were second best against Chelsea last night post-game.

“We deserved to lose, because they scored twice and we made massive mistakes for both goals,” Klopp said, as quoted by the Independent.

Since the Premier League winter break, Liverpool have lost three games out of five across all competitions. In those five matches, the Reds have conceded eight goals.

Liverpool look all over the place, which is something that has not occurred for quite some time. Under Klopp, especially in the past two seasons, they have been relatively solid and been able to score freely. That is not the case at the moment.
