Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Harvey Elliott is in London today for surgery on his ankle and that once that is done there will be a better idea given on how long he is going to be out for.

The young midfielder suffered a really unfortunate injury at the weekend against Leeds United with him dislocating his ankle after a challenge.

Indeed, the medical staff did a wonderful job getting it back into place so quickly but, of course, that was only the start of his recovery and he is now going under the knife to help it along:

Ultimately, we’ll have to wait for the surgery and the recovery from that to clear up first of all before a timeline can be put on his return.

It’s clear, though, he won’t be back on the field in the short term.
