Liverpool face Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday evening and it will provide Jurgen Klopp with the chance to personally scout reported target Fabian Ruiz.
Last week, Calciomercato named Liverpool as one of four major European outfits interested in signing Ruiz, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all keen on landing the Spaniard.
His silky dribbling style, brilliant vision and finishing would make him a fine addition to most midfields in Europe.
It’s arguably the best game for Klopp to have a look at Ruiz as the 23-year-old will be tested against the best club outfit in the world and will need to come up with answers against an incredibly intense tactical system.
It’s undeniable that the Napoli ace would be extremely effective against the likes of Bournemouth in the Premier League but whether or not he can cut it in the biggest games of the season is unknown as things stand.
Hopefully, he doesn’t score or assist against Liverpool but Klopp will be hoping to see some promising signs from the Reds’ reported target.
Even if he has a bad game, it doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t get a move to Anfield as Alisson Becker earned a Liverpool move worth £66.7m after conceding seven goals across two games against the Reds in 2018.
