Liverpool transfer target Patson Daka’s agent, former Spurs forward Freddie Kanoute, has heavily hinted that his client is due a transfer this summer.

Kanoute says that it is time for Daka to experience a new challenge at the end of the current campaign and claims that the forward has been developing almost every single day.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton are all reportedly interested in a deal for the RB Salzburg striker, who is said to be valued at £17m.

Speaking to Sky Sport Austria, as transcribed by the Liverpool Echo, Kanoute commented on his client’s future. “I think it’s time for a new challenge at the end of the season.

“He really got started this season. He is developing almost daily.”

This could be a huge boost to Liverpool’s hopes of being able to land Daka at the end of the season. Kanoute has hinted that Daka deserves a transfer this summer and that could suggest that he is set to push for his client to seek a move away from Salzburg. If Daka and Kanoute attempt to force a transfer, possibly by handing in a request, then that could potentially lower his price as Salzburg attempt to offload the forward who may want to depart the Austrian club.

Daka has scored 30 goals in 33 appearances and provided 10 assists for his teammates. This suggests that he could end up being a solid addition to Liverpool’s attacking options if they are able to bring him over to Anfield in the next transfer window. If Liverpool are seriously interested in Daka, Kanoute’s comments could be music to the club’s ears!
