Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has been out of action since the beginning of December because of a knee injury.

Before the injury, the Portuguese international was flying. The striker had scored nine goals in 17 appearances for the Reds.

Jota was also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.06 for the 2020-21 season.

The aforementioned statistics highlight how well Jota was playing before being forced to watch on from the sideline.

Some Liverpool supporters responded to Anfield Watch’s tweet yesterday, which was based on Jota.

It would be fair to say that many Liverpool supporters are missing the 24-year-old.

There is no denying that Jota has been a loss for Liverpool.

Before Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup last Friday night, the Reds had only scored one goal in the past three games.

Jota has been so good for Liverpool this season. Had he been available in recent times, we feel that Liverpool would not have been struggling to find the back of the net.

There is no official timeline on when Jota will return.
