Reds forward Mohamed Salah has opened up on how he would like the future to play out.

Salah has stated that he is “very happy” after helping Liverpool secure the Premier League title.

Salah added that he hopes to remain at Anfield for a “long time”.

“I’m very happy… I can’t describe my feelings after we won the league after 30 years,” Salah told BeIN Sports, as quoted by Sports Mole.

“I can see people’s joy and this is so important for all of us. I enjoy the atmosphere here… I love this place and I hope to stay for a long time.

“The atmosphere here is different to any other place. We have adapted well as a team and our understanding is perfect. If this continues, we can achieve more. It’s difficult to maintain our current level, but it’s not impossible.”

It is great to hear Salah state that he wants to remain at Liverpool for a “long time”. There is always that fear that a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona could come in and try to sign a player like Salah.

We saw it happen with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho. They both ended up signing for Barcelona from Liverpool.

The reality is, Salah is a world-class performer. He has scored 92 goals in 145 appearances for the Reds. Salah has a current market value of €120 million, which highlights how good of a player he is.

Salah has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, which does suggest that they have been watching him closely.

But, going by Salah’s comments, it does sound as if he is prepared to stay at Anfield regardless of who comes in for him.
