Reds left-back Andy Robertson is hoping his team can celebrate winning the 2019-20 Premier League title.

However, Robertson did state that Liverpool still have a job to do before celebrations can take place.

It was announced yesterday that the Premier League will return on June 17. The Reds need two more victories to claim the 2019-20 Premier League title.

Robertson told the club’s official website: “Hopefully we can celebrate a title if we get the job done – and there will be time to celebrate it when the time is right. But for now we need to keep focused, we know whatever games are coming up and whenever they start, we need to get them won and get that trophy for this club.”

It is great news that a date has been set in regards to the Premier League returning. I have missed football.

Liverpool have not played a competitive match since the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid. That game took place in March.

With the return date being what it is, Liverpool have three more weeks to prepare for competitive games.

Three weeks is still quite a long time to wait, but it will be worth it if Liverpool can secure the Premier League title.

As long as Liverpool do what they need to d0, they will eventually get the chance to celebrate. But, as Robertson has stated, it has to be at the right time.

It will be interesting to see how the players cope in the early games. They haven’t played for basically three months, which means that they could be a little rusty.
