Pundit Robbie Savage believes that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba would get into Liverpool’s team.

Liverpool have a variety of options in midfield. Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, Naby Keita, James Milner and Fabinho are Liverpool’s current midfielders.

Despite the Reds having plenty of options in midfield, Savage believes that Pogba would get into Liverpool’s team.

Savage also stated that Pogba would get into Manchester City’s team.

“His passing range is incredible,” Savage told BT Sport, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

He added: “Let’s not forget, last season he was named in the PFA Team of the Year, the only player outside of Liverpool and Man City.

“That was by his fellow professionals, which is a great accolade.

“He was Man United’s top scorer, the best goalscoring season of his career and he still gets criticised, maybe because he doesn’t recover quicker than some players.

“For me, he is Man United’s best player and he would get in Liverpool and Man City’s team.”

Pogba is clearly a top player. He currently has a current market value of €80 million, which highlights that he is a talented player.

However, in 16 appearances for Manchester United this season, he has only scored one goal and registered four assists.

The aforementioned numbers do suggest that Pogba would not just get into Liverpool’s team. Yes, Pogba has been injured this season, but when he has played, he has not done much.

He would have to work hard to get a game in Liverpool’s midfield. After all, Liverpool’s midfield did win the Premier League title this season.

However, Savage’s comments are almost pointless, as Liverpool have never been linked to the Frenchman.
