Pep Guardiola is reportedly still furious that Manchester City’s crucial Premier League match against Cardiff has been moved to three days before the FA Cup semi-final.

City will face Cardiff on April 3, less than 72 hours before their match at Wembley.

The City boss has been angered by the news after having already complained about fixture congestion for the Champions in April, fearing this new alteration could give Liverpool a fresh advantage in the title race.

“It’s crazy, the fixtures we have in April,” Guardiola complained recently. “That’s why we need everybody.

“The players who play are incredible. They have to sustain that level and the players who need to increase, they have to improve, because we need it.

“Everyone is going to play especially John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy, and all the players who are coming back, because we need everyone.”

Guardiola must now decide whether to put out a weakened team against Cardiff in the league or against Brighton in the semi-final.
