Ex-AS Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev believes Kylian Mbappe may be open to a move away from current club Paris Saint Germain as he seeks to fulfil his ambitions for his career.

Liverpool are among the clubs to have been linked with a move for the French superstar, though it is obviously likely that the biggest of names would be interested in getting him if he ever did decide to leave the French capital.

Indeed, Vasilyev believes that there could be a chance of that, depending on what the striker wants to achieve in his career and feels he can with his current side.

Speaking to telefoot and quoted by the Liverpool Echo, he explained:

“He is going to have to make very important decisions, and right now he seems more headed towards a way out.

“Nothing is impossible. Kylian is young and what he wants to win are titles.

“Kylian is ambitious. He wants to win everything and break all the records.

“If tomorrow PSG propose an ambitious project, where he feels comfortable and with options to go further and guarantees that he can win everything in his career, he could renew.”

How realistic a move to Liverpool could ever be for Mbappe is another debate altogether but whilst the link is still there, any update around him or any comment about him will be of interest to Reds fans.

You do feel as though he needs a move to one of the biggest leagues in Europe to really become the global superstar many are touting him to be as, with all due respect, the French league has struggled to offer up much in the way of competition in recent years thanks to PSG’s dominance.
