Liverpool are still looking to make more signings this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Reds have only made one signing (Ibrahima Konate) so far this summer.

However, Romano has claimed that Liverpool have been in contact with the representatives of certain players.

Romano further added that if the right opportunity arises, the Reds will secure a signing before the Premier League transfer window closes on the 31st of August.

As quoted by LFC Transfer Room’s Twitter account, Romano told the Here We Go podcast the following: “Liverpool are still active on the market – they are calling agents. If they find the right opportunity, Liverpool will sign players.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

It is exciting to hear that Liverpool are still looking to strengthen. You can never possess too many good players.

In saying that, Liverpool have started the new Premier League season nicely. Liverpool have won their opening two games.

The Reds have scored a total of five goals without conceding. With that being the case, Jurgen Klopp’s side sit in third-place on the table.

The Reds have shown plenty of promise in the early parts of the new campaign.

Therefore, if Klopp does not secure anymore signings this summer, we are still confident that Liverpool will have a successful season.
