Reds midfielder Fabinho has stated that he would welcome Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool if the Frenchman were to make the move to Anfield.

Fabinho, who signed for Liverpool from Monaco back in the summer of 2018 for a fee of around £40 million, has been sensational for the club.

Monaco have produced some top players in recent times, with Fabinho being one of them. However, there was another footballer that used to bring joy to the fans of the Ligue 1 side.

Fabinho played alongside Mbappe when Monaco won the title in the 2016-17 season. The Brazilian has stated that he would love to play alongside Mbappe again, except this time at Anfield.

Fabinho told Telefoot, as quoted by the Evening Standard: “Mbappe will have a Ballon d’Or before Neymar. I would like to welcome him to Liverpool.”

The Reds have been linked to Mbappe recently. Sure, it would be an unreal signing, but it does appear to be something that is unlikely to happen.

Mbappe would cost plenty in terms of a transfer fee. The Frenchman’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2022, which means unless Liverpool spend big, it will be impossible to secure the services of the talented 21-year-old.

Liverpool is a club that is big enough for Mbappe, but sometimes the business side of things can make certain transfers difficult to pull off.
