Fabinho has denied claims that he wants to leave Liverpool for Paris Saint-Germain, insisting that he remains happy at Anfield.
The Reds No.3 only made the switch to Merseyside this summer in a reported £39million move from Monaco, and initially struggled to break into the Liverpool starting XI.
The Brazilian was given time to adapt to life in England by manager Jurgen Klopp, and has so far made just six Premier League appearances.
Unsurprisingly, rumours began to circulate that the 25-year-old is a target for French champions PSG, but Fabinho has moved to distance himself from those stories.
“I was told that there was something in the media, but I have never said that I wanted to leave Liverpool,” Fabinho told UOL Esporte, according to The Independent.
“I was aware that I would need to have patience and wait for my moment. I am happy at Liverpool, I don’t have a single reason to leave.”
Jurgen Klopp praised Fabinho in the wake of his Merseyside derby performance as the Brazilian continues to settle in to life with Liverpool FC.
