Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent believes that Spurs’ front three is better than Liverpool’s.

Since the 2017-18 season, Liverpool have persisted with the same front line. Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are Liverpool’s three strikers.

Tottenham Hotspur recently signed Gareth Bale on loan from Real Madrid. However, he is currently injured.

Bent believes that when Bale lines up with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son, Spurs will have a better attacking unit than Liverpool.

“I really like what Tottenham are doing,” Bent told Sportology TV (09:17). “When you look at that front three now, you start going, on paper, certainly, that’s the best front three in the Premier League.

“People might say that Liverpool have a good one with Salah, Firmino and Mane – but Bale, with his pace and power, Son is superb and Kane. If you’re a Spurs fan, you’re looking at that thinking I really like what we’re doing here.”

Bent is entitled to his opinion. Only time will tell if Spurs’ new front three can overtake Liverpool’s. However, they have a bit of catching up to do.

The reality is, Liverpool’s front line has won the Champions League and Premier League title.

Before the 2020-21 season got underway, Salah, Mane and Firmino had scored 217 times between them.

Bent referred to Liverpool’s front three as a “good one”.

The aforementioned statistic highlights that Liverpool’s front three deserves more respect from the former Spurs striker.
