Atletico Madrid are willing to listen to offers for Saul Niguez this summer at around the £69m mark, £60m less than his current fee release clause of £129m.

The Spanish midfielder is being linked away from the current Spanish champions this summer and Liverpool have been mentioned as a potentially interested party.

Indeed, according to Mundo Deportivo, via the Liverpool Echo, Atleti are open to offers for the player and will look for around £69m.

As per the Spanish outlet, the club is willing to forget the £129m minimum fee release clause that is in the player’s contract and let him go for potentially £60m less.

We’ll just have to see whether this will actually interest Liverpool, if they are in fact keen.

The Reds have got a spot in midfield that could be taken by a new signing but we’ll have to see whether they really want to address it or not this summer.

Gini Wijnaldum is leaving on a free, and there’s every chance the Reds could decide against a new arrival.

Time will tell.
