Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic, according to FNP.

Grujic, who signed for Liverpool in 2016 for a transfer fee of £5.1 million, has never really been able to get going at Anfield.

That stems from the fact that he has not been given much opportunity, as Liverpool’s midfield has been very strong in recent years.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan at Hertha Berlin, which means the Bundesliga sides have had a good look at the midfielder recently.

Eintracht Frankfurt could be preparing a move for Grujic this summer, as it appears that the midfielder is not a required player at Anfield.

Grujic certainly has talent, but Liverpool are too strong in midfield for him to get a game. It would be better for his career to depart Anfield permanently.

However, there is an argument to be made that the likes of Jordan Henderson and James Milner aren’t getting any younger.

Grujic could prove to be handy in the years to come, but it still appears unlikely that he has a career at Anfield. Young players don’t have patience to wait around for others to retire.
