Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk has dismissed reports claiming Bayern Munich have made a €45m offer for Liverpool target Kalidou Koulibaly.
Falk claims Bayern have not made an offer for Koulibaly and are not interested in signing the Napoli centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window.
Italian outlet Il Mattino reported that Napoli were considering a €45m bid from Bayern, whilst also claiming that Manchester United and Liverpool are expected to come in with bids of their own.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
If Bild journalist Christian Falk is to be believed, this could be a huge boost to Liverpool’s chances of signing Koulibaly this summer. Bayern have already snatched one of Liverpool’s transfer targets away this year, after they signed Dayot Upamecano on a permanent deal from fellow German side RB Leipzig. Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea were all reportedly keen on signing Upamecano before Bayern came in and secured a deal for the French central defender.
With this latest update, Liverpool could be spared a second loss to Bayern this summer. They could now only have to compete with Manchester United to land Koulibaly. The Napoli centre-back is enjoying a solid season in Italy, with an average WhoScored rating of 6.81 across all competitions – including the Europa League and Serie A. This shows why he could be a good addition to Liverpool’s squad this summer.
Koulibaly could also come in and alleviate Liverpool’s injury problems at centre-back. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are all out for the foreseeable future and Jurgen Klopp has struggled to name a consistent backline throughout the season. Koulibaly has started 24 games or more in all six of his seasons for Napoli in the Serie A leading up to the current campaign, showing that he is a reliable player when it comes to availability.
