Evertonian boxer Tony Bellew told talkSPORT that he “can’t hate” Liverpool when they’re doing as well as they currently are.

“You’ve gotta be happy mate, you can’t hate against someone like Liverpool because you look at what they’re doing,” he told talkSPORT.

“I’d love to hate the manager, but you can’t even hate him as well because every time you look at him, he makes you smile. It’s insane what they’re doing, sending me insane.”

Sadio Mane.

Liverpool top the Premier League table after winning their opening eight games and in the process have conceded just six goals while scoring 20 of their own.

While it seems unlikely that other Evertonians will share Bellew’s views, the Reds have been irresistible this season and seem to be on their way to winning more silverware.

Jurgen Klopp’s side won the Champions League last season and were just two points off winning the Premier League as well.
