Liverpool defender Nat Phillips has earned praise for his performance against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, with the Reds drawing 1-1 on the south coast.
The defensive issues the club has had of late are well-known and this time out Jurgen Klopp opted to go for Fabinho and Phillips in the middle with Joel Matip being rested.
And, despite a few early moments in the first-half where Brighton’s running looked an issue, the Reds largely dealt with things well at the back before obviously being denied all three points by a pretty debatable penalty call late on in the game.
Even so, Phillips earned praise for another solid showing that saw him stick his head on pretty much anything he could and Reds fans on Twitter were quick to share their thoughts on his performance during and after the game.
Let’s take a look at some of what has been said:

Nat Phillips is a battering ram. Would've defo played as an emergency striker for Liverpool during Klopp's first season here.
