Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for forward Gabriel Martinelli this summer, according to 90min.

It has been reported that Arsenal will consider selling the 18-year-old if an offer is received that is too good to turn down.

Liverpool have been linked with Martinelli in the past, which means that this particular update could be positive news for the club.

Arsenal are quite strong in attack, as they possess talents such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, which means Martinelli’s playing time is limited.

Despite Martinelli not playing as much as he would like, the forward has still scored 10 goals for the Gunners this season, which highlights his ability in front of goal.

From what we have seen of him this season, he does appear to be a player that Jurgen Klopp would like to work with. Martinelli is young and he possesses plenty of talent, which is why he would flourish under the German.

However, the reality is, Martinelli would be brought in as cover for the likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. He would be playing a similar role to the one he is currently playing at Arsenal.

Despite this being the case, I feel he would still get plenty of game time at Anfield, as Liverpool play so much football these days.

If he did make the move to Liverpool, he will become a regular at a club that has been more successful than Arsenal over the years, but at this current moment, he would be providing depth, which is severely needed in attack at Liverpool.

However, it is important to remember that Liverpool may not genuinely be interested in the forward, but there is no denying that he would be a handy addition.
