Aubameyang did just sign a new deal with Gunners, which keeps him at the club until 2023.

If Aubameyang was looking to leave Arsenal, it would be fair to assume that he would not have just signed a new deal with the club.

As Aubameyang has just signed a new deal with the Gunners, it is strange that he has liked a tweet that states that he deserves to play for a club like Liverpool.

By liking that tweet, it does suggest that Aubameyang is open to playing for Liverpool. However, he could have accidentally liked the tweet, or perhaps someone has hacked his account. We just don’t know.

However, it might not be a mistake, which is why it needs to be discussed.

There is no denying that Aubameyang is a star. At Borussia Dortmund, he scored 141 goals in 213 appearances. At Arsenal, the forward has scored 72 goals in 112 appearances.

However, at Anfield Watch, we don’t see Liverpool signing Aubameyang anytime soon, as they club have never genuinely been linked to the striker.

The reality is, he is 31 years of age, which means that he is at the backend of his career.

The club would be better off signing a younger forward who has a future in the game. Liverpool’s front three (Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane) are all 28 years of age, which means that the club need to have an eye to the future.
