Reds goalkeeper Alisson believes Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino is one of Jurgen Klopp’s most important players.

Firmino, who signed for Liverpool from Hoffenheim for a fee of £29 million back in 2015, has flourished under the German manager.

Firmino has scored five goals in his last six appearances for Liverpool, which highlights the type of form he is currently in. One of those goals was the winner against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on the weekend.

However, Alisson believes it is Firmino’s all-round game which makes him a valuable asset in the side.

Alisson told Liverpool’s website, as quoted by the Daily Star: “Bobby is one of the most important players in our team – and we have a lot.

“I think everybody is important but Bobby not only scores when we need him, he makes the team play, he drops to play from behind.

“This is a good thing and it is something that he likes to do, he likes to help, and I’m really happy that he scored [against Spurs] because a striker needs to score to stay confident and he is helping us with the goals.”

The Anfield faithful certainly have an appreciation in terms of what Firmino brings to a match. He is a fan favourite for many supporters.

He is arguably the most complete No. 9 in the world right now. There are better finishers, but in terms of a forward that can bring a bit of everything, no one rivals the Brazilian.

Firmino is one of those players that will be truly missed when he eventually departs Liverpool. It is difficult to find a centre-forward which makes the players around him better, but he certainly knows how to improve his teammates.
