Throughout January, Liverpool have been linked with Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
However, Sokratis ended up leaving Arsenal for Olympiacos earlier this week.
Some Liverpool supporters have made it clear on Twitter that they are glad that the club did not end up signing the former Arsenal defender.
That’s a relief 😅

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Liverpool are short at the back at the moment. The likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are both out of action as a result of respective injuries.
We believe that Sokratis is not good enough to play for Liverpool Football Club. The reality is, he did not play any senior football for Arsenal during his time at the club this season.
Sokratis could not get minutes on the the pitch for a team that is currently eighth on the Premier League table. Therefore, it would be fair to assume that he would not have been good enough to play for the current champions of England.
Also, Sokratis is 32 years of age. His career is almost finished. We are glad that Liverpool did not end up signing Sokratis.
